Hello!!!

We are excited to have YOU as a Bulldog on campus this year. My name is Mrs. Schultze and I am ecstatic to serve the students, staff and community as the counselor at Marion Middle School.

I am a graduate of Marion and a proud Bulldog. As a professional school counselor, I assist students with their academic, career, and social/emotional development. I provide direct student services through instruction, appraisal, advisement, and short-term counseling activities. I collaborate with our wonderful staff to assist students in meeting goals so they can be the best version of themselves. Sometimes students need long term counseling to achieve their goals. In those situations, I can provide referrals to community resources for additional assistance. I work side-by-side with our Communities in Schools (CIS) social worker to assist students and families with resources they need as well.

As a counselor, one thing I strongly believe in is school/community involvement, and MMS has many opportunities for involvement—band, athletics, Ag, theatre, yearbook, AV, student council, dance team, cheerleading, etc. Participation in school activities promotes social skills, encourages leadership, increases academic achievement, and contributes to a sense of belonging at school. Every single student can contribute to our school, so get involved and be a part of something great!!!
